A fairly known story, but close to my heart

“Mother I cannot do this!”
“You can, honey. Trust me, you can,” said the mother.
“But.. but I’ve never done this before and it’s so.. it’s so terrifying!”
“It’s not terrifying, my baby, it’s what we do.”
“Mother please..”
“Okay do one thing. Just go and stand there. Come on,” the mother says, leading her baby to the end of the branch they were standing on. “Okay, now, spread your wings like you would while flying.” The baby does as her mother instructs. “Very good, dear, now just jump..”
“No I can’t! I can’t!”
“No just.. just jump on the branch itself. Take a little jump just where you’re standing.”
“On my count. One.. two.. three.. jump!”
The baby bird jumps and the mother gives him a slight push from the behind. The baby bird, out of fear or out of anxiety, nobody knows, flew.

It’s really amazing how sometimes we think we cannot do things, even if they’re the most simple things of all. We just need to keep one thing in mind, that God will never give us something that He knows we cannot handle.

Do it with the positive attitude that you can, and trust me, you most definitely will.

  1. You reiterated that the ability to learn is possessed by humans, animals, and some machines; there is also evidence for some kind of learning in some plants.
My heartfelt accolades to your articulation, heartwrenching rendition….
Once again you unshackled the artist in you.. kudos…
